Collision Reporting Centre

In 2010, the Chatham-Kent Police Service partnered with Accident Support Services Inc. to create a Collision Reporting Centre (CRC) out of our headquarters at 24 Third Street, Chatham. This service is available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (not on weekends or holidays).

Chief for a Day

Every spring, the Chatham-Kent Police Service holds a Chief for a Day contest. Children in grades 5 and 6 are invited to write a short essay titled, “If I were the Chief of Police for a day I would…” In 2010, Krisinda Wegrzyn and Sarah Armstrong were selected and spent a day during Police Week as honourary police chiefs. They enjoyed lunch with Chief Dennis Poole, received a tour of police headquarters, and participated in presentations and demonstrations from various sections.

believe in partnering with our citizens to make out community safer.

Citizen’s Police Academy

Participants meet weekly for a period of 12 weeks and enjoy an interactive police experience. Highlights include a ride-along with an officer, a police pursuit on a closed course, and simulated scenarios they must navigate. For additional information about the Citizen’s Police Academy visit www.ckpolice.com.
